"I’ve always held onto cards, letters, bits of paper from holidays etc. I was going through them at my mum’s house a few months ago and I just thought it was cute how they piece together so many of my experiences. Maybe it’s corny but I feel like i’m always searching for more authentic ways to share my identity through works and once I had that thought, anything else would have been basic. Working at a shop again, I’m back in tune with handbag politics and it’s so easy to see right through customers by what bag they’re holding. I had my friend Gus help me
manipulate these images into the silhouettes of a few different bags so I could kinda re-write all the meaning they carry with my own junk."
